Mergansers Bayshore

  There were at least two thousand common mergansers at Bayshore early this afternoon. They were stretched all the way across the back peninsula. I was able to spot  3 red breasted mergansers in the mix. One even shown to doubting Thomas. Also seen were a few ruddies, a modest grouping of lesser scaup, hundreds of mallards and a greater black backed gull.
