I couldn't drink enough to make this make sense. But I think I'm gonna give it a try.

It was still present Sunday, according to the homeowners. I'm not certain about today, wasn't able to phone them. Tomorrow instead of working (because who wants to do that), I'll try to call them again to ask. |

Is the sparrow still present, or have the NE winds blown it toward home?

Because that's who they decided they wanted to allow. It's not for anyone else to question.
I really wish I had no knowledge about this anymore. Or at the very least maybe I should have not posted any pics at all. I was just trying to let people know it was here but obviously that was a mistake. |

I wasn't questioning the landowners, I understand if they don't want people. I just was questioning why CERTAIN people are getting to see the bird..... never mind, I'm not trying to start an argument, just curious. I didn't mean to get everyone riled up.

Wow, where do I begin? First as Brian has said the reasons have been documented as to why the homeowner does not want his address posted. Why can't people just respect that? I seem to recall landowners property being trampled on last year when the Burrowing owl was in Western Ohio because someone felt they needed to flush it.
Quite frankly I'm guessing the homeowners of the current bird debate don't even know about that because I have a feeling if they did NONE of us would know about this bird. |

I wasn't trying to cause problems, just dissapointed that some privledged people(not just the one I posted) are getting to see the bird when all of us can't. You can't blame people to keep trying. It obviously isn't hurting our situation.

And if money was accepted there would be an outcry of exploitation.
What gives is that this is a private homeowner who is free to make a decision about what happens on his property. The reasons have been documented and most are in agreement they are understandable. If you read the blog, you know why the artist was granted access. Brian Edited by BrianMc - 13 April 2009 at 1:20pm |

I have talked to many people who said they would give 10-20 bucks to see the bird.(INcluding myself) Please talk to them again about setting up a time for visiting birders. I don't want this issue to die yet.....
