Here is a Picture of a Golden-crowned Sparrow found just east of the Findlay area today. At this time the owner requests that the exact address not be given out.

Man, a first state record and no visitors? Please keep us updated if that changes.

I will let you know if the visiting status changes. If it would just fly to my house then everyone would be welcome, but I'm not so sure that's going to happen.

Tell them I'd be willing to pay admission. This is a big time bird.

I second that. Dinero talks. And it fills feeders.

here is another picture from yesterday. It's not the greatest but it shows the crown pretty good. Also, the status remains the same as far as giving out the address, so sorry to everyone but this is the homeowners request.

Sad. I know if I had one I'd want the world to see. But that's how it goes sometimes I guess. Did you tell them we are nice? Wink Thanks for letting us know, and at least someone was there to document the event. I assume you'll be sending it in to the OBRC so it can be historical and all? Cheers.

I'm hearing a lot of birders mentioning they would pay to see the Golden-crowned Sparrow (one up to $20). If the owners agree to allow birders to view the bird at $5 a person, they’ll easily make $1,000 which could go towards bird seed etc.
